on impulse today, technically yesterday, i got myself another sun conure!

well to be fair it was cheap, way below market price, and a rather juvenile lovely baby there.

soon enough, you guys can meet vodka the sun conure!

for now, i just hope the silly bird stops trying to fly off the parrot stand, its impossible!

now, even i think its a tad too crazy.

so it goes like this. ran out of cricket supplies for my shamas, and i thought, oh well, take a nap, get it in the evening...

wrong!

taking my time, upon arriving at the neighbourhood pet shop, guess what...

out of stock. epic fail. fml.

so of course i went into a frenzy, i'd say i nearly landed myself a panic attack!

what am i gonna do!

the lady there told me the supplier is out of stock, which means, you can forget about any shops around jb, they won't have it, definitely.

and i'm left with no supplies at all!

here's the drama...

a pet shop i been to sometime ago popped up into my mind.

pretty faraway i'd say, its in another town. and for the fact that it was already hitting 8pm. most pet shops only open till 7+, with the exception of a few; and i had no idea what's the operating hours of this one, or whether they do sell feeder crickets over there.

but i had no choice!

i revved up the engine, and sped all the way to my destination. and yes, all 125km of it. just for crickets, without knowing if they had it!

hmmm, well, i've got 10 bucks worth of crickets in my freezer right now, instead of my usual 4-5 bucks.

haha, ya know, gotta make the trip worth it right?

2010.

where everyone clinked glasses and many wished me a great year ahead, the 1st few seconds of this new year left me confused.

i was already feeling alright not having you around, convincing myself that was the right choice to make some time ago.

leaving everything, & having people constantly tell me its alright to be friends, i attempted.

maybe i failed in this point.

christmas day, you brought us down memory lane.

2010, you wanted to spend it together.

but, doing those things in front of me, i can't help but think you're doing it deliberately.

now i'm confused and spinning, running towards no direction; what's more with the facebook status, isn't it too much of a coincidence?

lighter fluid.

feeling disturbed by my pool cue's stickiness after loaning it to adriangoatee for a game yesterday, i sat up on my bed thinking long and hard about it.

suddenly, a light bulb popped up above my head!

since lighter fluid can be used to remove adhesives from a new pool cue without relatively doing it any harm, why not try removing those dirt and stickiness from my cue shaft with the same thing?

bingo! a few paper towels and a quarter bottle of lighter fluid later on, i hold my cue shaft high and proud, its regained its glory!

although it doesn't really remove the chalk stains and dirt embedded in the shaft, at the very least, it follows-through really well now. its silky smooth! definitely comparable to my brand new bk2's shaft.

what a sense of accomplishment! *beams, beams, beams with pride!*

it was all fun, running around getting the stuff, getting the preps ready, starting the fire burning...

right up to where our 1st dishes were charred!

to you guys who made this all happen, i'm glad we are all sticking around like this.

well for those who didn't and went ahead flying their kites high above, i've got nothing to say but just that i feel sorry for you.

it was all great fun, had our laughters and all, the only regret is that...

it's no fun being sick.

to an extent, i'm bedridden, or should i say, have been bedridden the last 48 hours. & the closest form of communication i have with the outside world is my macbook, which sits right next to my bed. i can't even reach for my phone on the table. *sigh*

oh wells, on a brighter note, i slept so much i guess my eyebags are starting to disappear now! i'm bored, hopefully i can rejoin civilization tomorrow... i miss singapore!

guess its cos of my boring, unhappening, routine life these couple of weeks. let's just sum it up this way:

9. sleep

alright, you get what i mean. life's centered around nothing but pool and my escapades in singapore, daily.

time to find me some other things to do in life. i don't wanna seem boring...

met the ultimate asshole in pool today. *sigh*

its the 2nd time i met someone in the game of pool with bad upbringing, bad manners, or both..

these are the guys that put the game we love to extreme shame. just for 50 bucks? you're damn desperate, boy!

on a sunnier note,

getting to know a player from california who is so passionate about his game really amazes me.

he's probably in his mid-thirties, and has a burning passion for the game despite playing for 10 years already.

now tell me, who on earth brings his pool cue with him while on holiday in malaysia?

apparently, he does.

impulse-buying!

i bought a predator cue case, for like a thousand bucks, and upon reaching home, guess what? it doesn't fit all my cues. predator cues should really look into their advertising. it was advertised that the back pockets can hold up a predator air jump cue...

but right after i reached home, elated with my purchase, i realised what they really were trying to say is that the back pockets can hold up only the butt of the cue. the shaft would still have to be in the main compartment.

so now, i would have to carry a shaft openly wherever i go, until i have enough to get another case, which would cost a couple of hundred more that the original 1k. FML!!!

and now, what shall i do with the extra case when i've gotten a new one? everyone, blame predator for their false advertising!

but still, this baby really exudes a cool yet secretive look. too bad it doesn't fit all my stuff in it. anyone wants to buy it from me? brand new, cheaper than retail!

mmhmm, to fire things up... let me show you guys something, an all-access pass to mediacorp singapore! now don't look down on this little piece of magnetic card, its my licence to legally stalk all the celebrities in singapore, be it actors, actresses or radio deejays!

& then, right down here its my very good friend, with his temporary boob job. hahaha.

now here comes the oreo family! well i munch on these things whenever they are available, & this is practically the whole oreo family you can find in malaysia. still waiting for them to bring in the strawberry flavored ones, so i won't need to smuggle them in from singapore anymore!

& finally guys, never ever try this. spending a hundred bucks on two pieces of plastic lol (it's pretty much dumbness). they're joint protectors for predator cues, and for this price, of course you get original ones.

the pirated ones only cost 30% of this price, but shucks, like what they say,

"ya want style, ya gotta pay, boy!"

dartboard!

after 4 hours of experimenting and trying to figure out the dartboard, two grown men, one armed with a drill gun & the other with a vacuum cleaner (so clear that i was the macho one, and kevin was the vacuum boy lol)...

i have a fantastic looking dartboard adorning my room wall now! its a winmau blade III dartboard anyway.

ooh and shhh, don't tell mummy that apart from the two holes we drilled, missed darts also accounted for 10-odd extra holes in the wall!!

i finally laid my hands on yet another predator!

telling myself i shall maintain this properly right now; it ain't cheap, and ain't gonna withstand any form of rough use either!

now this shall keep me happy for at least a month or two!

hurray! look at that majestic predator cat... it's even adorning my phone as the wallpaper now!

i'd most likely be upgrading to a predator very soon, but you see, i haven't even gotten my hands on them yet, and i'm hatching another plan in my mind now.

well it goes like this, some of you might know i used to play a little darts while at mirage sometime ago, to an extent of getting myself hooked onto it. not long after, i gave all my attention to american pool, thus clean forgetting about darting.

and now my friends, i'm contemplating something silly; installing a winmau blade III in the heart of my bedroom!

well this isn't for those who aren't into pool.

but for those who are, you should know what i'd be babbling about in the post.

am facing a difficult decision now.

between a predator ikon, used for less than 3 weeks by masterpatrick, cheaper by 300 bucks, and most of all, it helps him in a way, cos he's looking at getting another cue.

or,

splurge on a brand new predator p3, which isn't exactly an all rounder, but pretty much suited to my playing, but is more expensive. in fact, its loads more expensive.

damn, i believe this is the hardest decision i have gotta make up till today.

let's just put that aside for now, shooting out for pool! (pun intended!)

who on earth can pull an all-nighter shooting american pool, drinking heineken and guinness up till 5.30 in the morning?

apparently, we do.

heck, that's 10 straight hours doing nothing but a bunch of grown up men hanging around each other, holding sticks and balls.
